Day 20: Favorite Walt Disney World Dessert

Well this is easy! I already answered this a couple blogs ago haha!! 'Ohanas delicious bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel banana topping is seriously heaven sent. I was scared to try it at first 'cause it looked so, well, not normal, but the second I put a little spoonful in my mouth I've been hooked! I get random cravings for it, which is not good haha I wish I could cook cause I would totally try to make this!
ℒℴνℯ Ohanas!!!

To Audition or Not to Audition? That is the question!

Disney Entertainment Auditions Are Coming Up!!!!!!!! I'm excited, but also heartbroken because one of my dreams will never come true... I think I'm gonna have to pass on the auditions because of the continued back pain. The dancing for the auditions may seem easy and simple but the slightest turn can make my back go whack...
So this past Tuesday I twisted my back when I slipped on ice. Ever since then my back has been causing me major problems...
I went into a back spasm picking up a paper plate (no lie) on Wednesday, went into another back spasm last night (Friday) when giving my 6 pound dog a bath, and the muscles have been occasionally twitching at random times of the day all week.
My lumbar (where my herniated discs are - L4 & L5 specifically) has been KILLING me non stop since Tuesday. Now don't get me wrong, I'm use to chronic pain in my back. Yes it hurts all the time, but I've had issues for years now so I'm use to the constant pain. However, I have been in tears for the past week from this constant lever 8-10 pain when I'm use to 6. (on a scale of 10, 10 being worse pain ever)
For a month now my back has been in more pain than usual, but there's nothing I can do since I don't have insurance. Hopefully, if the health bill doesn't get repealed by heartless dicks, I will have insurance again starting in March YAY for being a person who cares about the well being of others! (but that's another topic. I'll save that for a different blogging day) So because of my back I think I'm gonna have to not go to the Disney entertainment audition and go see a couple doctors that day. I'll see my doctor so she knows what's going on and also see an orthopedist. We'll see...
I'm excited for my deep tissue massage today!!!! =) Hopefully that'll help with my muscles. (I'm suppose to get a deep tissues massage bi-weekly, but the insurance I had only considers massages leisure and not medical. Pfft! When I found out about my back situation in october of '09 I was prescribed for the bi-weekly deep tissue massages, physical therapy, and chiropractic care. The chiropractor that I saw said that I'm probably going to have to have surgery in 10 years for my 2 discs (FML) That'll be so great! (can you sense the sarcasm?) He as well as a couple other doctors told me that I shouldn't lift anything heavier than 10 pounds cause my discs can bust & I would need emergency surgery. --> So when I tell you I can't lift something, it's not because I'm lazy, it's because I don't want to have surgery before expected.
Well anyways I'll stop bitching, but when you're in a high level of pain for more than a couple days you're bound to just ramble & bitch more than usual right? haha Thanks for putting up with me. Love you all (if anyone actually read this, which I doubt, but if you did I'd love to know. Comment below even if it's just a smiley face or a hello, it's just nice to know that I'm not talking to the black hole of the internet lol)
Love you all & I truly hope none of you have to experience this!!

Day 19: Least Favorite Attraction

I thought this would be hard, but I realllly hate the Stitch's Great Escape attraction. No seriously, It's SO DUMB! lol I don't have anything nice to say about it. I mean, it's a cute concept, but I don't like Stitch the character anyways so I guess that doesn't help either HA! I think that's the only thing I don't like at Disney. Weird that I would not like something huh?? It's weird for me too LOL

Day 18: The Attraction You Want Disney To Bring Back

Okay I have 1 and a half lol You'll soon understand what I mean.

I LOVED this as a kid! My mother hated it cause she thought it was a rough ride, but I had a blast with it. I also felt like I was a student on the Magic School Bus on the episode when they shrank themselves to go into a body. I thought that was so cool! I love learning and having fun! It's a shame that they took down =(

The half would be that I'd like for them to bring back would be the old Imagination. (I consider this half since the ride is still there, it's just the horrible upgraded one)
I REALLY HATE the new one of Imagination and I'm sad that the fun room with the glowing lights on the cool carpet is gone. It was a room you can go to that was near the gift shop you walked into after the ride. I LOVED jumping on the moving lights as a kid and doing all those fun things. Oh to be a kid in the 90's again...

Day 17: Favorite Restaurant on Disney Property

'Ohana is not only my favorite restaurant on property, but EVER!!
The appetizers are delicious and never ending, the entrée meats (especially the shrimp) are perfectly cooked and flavorful, the drinks are perfectly mixed and made a little stronger than the average bar drink, and the dessert is seriously to die for.
Ahhhhh!!! I have been there 6-8 times since early 2009 (I can't keep count any more). Yea you can say I'm obsessed haha I love that food so much that I've actually eaten so many shrimp in one setting that the chef wanted to meet me! hahaha
I love that the food is all you can eat, but isn't buffet style so all sorts of hands with millions of germs touching the scoops that will always end up in the food. You don't have to deal with that, the waiters, aka your cousins, bring it out to you.
I LOVED it when I went with some of my best friends during spring break last year (2010) and we could see the fireworks from where we were sitting. We started to cry like babies and laughing at the same time 'cause we were also trying to eat haha That was a great memory, especially since the first time I went was with them =) I blame them, and a few others, for getting me hooked lol ::points fingers at Sarah, Marissa, Eashley::
So yea, I can't wait to go back in August. I'm ready to make a reservation right now! And I HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone to do the same when they go on their next vacation to Disney. =)

Dessert: Bread Pudding w/ Vanilla Ice Cream & Banana Caramel Topping

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Day 16: Favorite Snack to Grab in the Parks

Okay, Okay, Okay, I missed a day... Again I'm sorry haha But here's Day 16...

Favorite Snack has to be the POPCORN!!!!! Well first off the smell of it is like an orgasm in the nose! Seriously! It's AMAZZZZIIINNNGGGG. I ALWAYS want to get the popcorn, but sadly it's a bit pricy (along with everything else at Disney) BUT it's super yummy!!! I recommend it to those who have never had it. It never fails to bring a smile to my face and satisfaction to my tummy.

I also realllllly enjoy the churros, you know the thing that the Buddy Boyle form Monsters Inc Laugh Floor says that someone is buying for all of us? Yeah, I've been there a lot can't you tell? haha anyways, I had my very first churro at Disney and ohhhh myyy that was nomalicious (like nom nom meaning yummy but nom + delicious = nomalicious) haha yea forgive the weirdness

So Popcorn & Churros. Those are my favs. When you go to Disney get both, enjoy, & think of me. =P

Let's Do The Twist...

Oh jeez... I knew today was gonna be another "one of those days" the minute I A) put my shirt on backwards & B) put my pantyhose on backwards... Once I fixed those little mix ups I walked out to my car and slipped on a huge patch of black ice on the driveway. When that happened I twisted my back & pinched one of my bulging discs (there goes my HealthPlex plans for the day). Then I tried to open my car doors, but they were completely frozen shut & refuses to open.

Now I'm on the couch with a heating pad on my throbbing back refraining from crying cause I pinched a disc. Okay week, please be over with already, I'm not fond of these games you're playing on me.

OCD or should it be CDO?

You know those days when you feel like shit, everything seems to be going wrong, you almost get into a couple car accidents because of stupid drivers, and things aren't going as planned. Yea, today was my day for that.

I'll skip all the bad shit cause I don't feel like being a negative nelly at the moment. My favorite part of the evening was about 8pm when my family knocked that shitty feeling out of my system when we were just talking about our quirks. Everyone has something odd about them, if you're a Stackpole though, there's definitely more than one. My major quark is the fact that I have OCD.

Now you may be thinking "OMG does she have the flick the lights 5 times before she enters a room or wash her hands three times before she leaves the bathroom" well for one thing, I don't use the light if I don't need to (HELLLOOO Save Energy = Save Earth!) and another thing, I wash my hands long enough for it to be three times so no, I don't do that either LOL I have an obsession with even numbers, everything being perfectly balanced, and only taking two steps between cracks in a side walk. (That's just the small stuff) lol

Annnyways, I have officially come to the conclusion that I do, in fact, have OCD. It's not a severe case, not a super mild case either, just an average amount that can drive anyone crazy, but not psycho. lol (& No I don't need therapy for this.) You with me? lol Okay moving on, so my mom explained that she had the same thing until she went to seminary at the age that I am now, but uhh yea instead of it disappearing for me it's become worse than before. I sure wish my mom remembered how she got rid of hers! I'd like to know the trick!

So that was fun frying my dads brain because he didn't know this OCD side of my mother. They've known each other for 29/30ish years? Well either way that's a long time and he said he never knew this about her haha It was funny seeing his jaw drop. After talking about OCD my mom randomly started talking in a language her friends in HS use to speak in when people were around. For example apparently she said this a lot "Tong O Dong Dong Fong A Rong Tong Song" which means "Todd Farts" (Todd was one of her friends who understood the language and apparently they picked on him about farting alot? Haha I don't know, but if you say it out loud it sounds like a language from an Asian background. (no offense) Go ahead, say it out loud, I know you're tempted to. Wanna say something other than "Todd Farts" well here: the consonants are "ong" and the vowels are just normal so if you want to say "Hello" it would be "Hong E Long Long O" HAHAHA I told you that us Stackpole's are weird. =) (I wouldn't want it any other way though)

After that little bit I started talking in pig latin and the rest joined in. It was quite a fun night. I'm glad I have them when I need them. My day up until that point wasn't fun, but they sure did help put a smile on my face before I went to bed. =)

So my question for you... What's your quark? Do you have OCD? Did you speak a made up language with your friends when you were younger? Anything more bizarre?? More importantly, did I freak you out with my odd family? haha I'd LOVE to know. Give me the deets!

Day 15: Favorite Walt Disney World Resort

Now this is tough. It’s a tie between three: the Grand Floridian, Coronado Springs & the Polynesian Resort.

Both resorts are gorgeous... The beds at Coronado Springs are like sleeping on a cloud, sadly the Poly isn’t as comfortable, but the room at the Poly has more of a theme to it.

Both resorts have amazing pools, but what makes the Poly beat Coronado is the fact that my favorite place to eat in the world (‘Ohana) is there.

I LOVE ‘Ohanas and I love the ambiance of the Poly. The waterfalls inside and outside of the resort are beautiful and relaxing and the beach is so amazing. You can see the castle from across the water as well as the beautiful Grand Floridian Resort and the Modern Contemporary Resort & Bay Lake Tower. My favorite part is that you can watch the fireworks & hear the music of the fireworks show from the beach. It’s truly magical!

Lastly, I worked there for a week so I know the ins and outs of the resort more than I do of Coronado, plus all of my memories at the Poly are positive ones and I will leave that at that haha =)

Sooooo Polynesian I You!!!

Saturday, February 19, 2011

Day 14: Favorite Animal Kingdom Attraction

Expedition Everest. DUHHHH!!

A) It’s a roller coaster

B) It goes backwards

C) It goes fast

D) It has some awesome drops

E) It has a great theme to it

And Lastly

F) There’s a Freakin’ Yeti!!

I don't know why there's weird spacing going on it wont go away no matter what I do =( haha oh well

Friday, February 18, 2011

Day 13: Favorite Animal Kingdom Area

Short & Sweet Answer: Africa!

Kilimanjaro Safari & Kali River Rapids are pretty fun, and the plant lady is there too! Overall, the atmosphere of that area is great! I truly feel like I’m in Africa, well if I knew what being in Africa was like that is haha =)

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Day 12: Favorite Hollywood Studios Attraction

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster … DUH!!!!!!

I worked there for 4 months & didn’t get sick of it! Now that is magic! Haha I’m positive that I have been on that ride at LEAST 100 times during my time there. I rode it once or twice every day that I worked and then on my days off I usually went to Studios and rode Coaster hmmm… somewhere between 3-6 times because people would let me re-ride. Yea, that was pretty sweet.

Also, I made some of the most amazing friends ever while working here. I met my wifey, my "fiancé", my crazy day 1 trainer who taught me nothing the first day =P (Tim) lol, some of my best friends. I Love & Miss my friends & that life so much! Hopefully I’ll have as much fun on my fall disney college program as I did on my first!

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Day 11: Favorite Hollywood Studios Area

Okay, Okay, Okay, I know I was a bit of a slacker, but I went to Buckhannon for the weekend & kept on forgetting to post a new entry, but I'm back & am starting where I left off....

Day 11: Favorite Hollywood Studios Area

Sunset Boulevard!!!!!!! It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!! ♥♥

This place is my home. I’m pretty sure I said this earlier, but I thoroughly enjoyed the nights that I would work at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster & all of the guests were gone, but the lights were on and the big band music was blasting in the air. I felt like I was in the 40’s at an abandoned, but well kept area. I still love it to this day and will until I die. It seriously has the most amazing ambiance at night. It also has the best rides in the park & an amazing night show Fantasmic!

Friday, February 11, 2011

Day 10: Favorite Attraction in the World Showcase

My favorite attraction in the World Showcase is of course Maelstrom in Norway. There are only 2 rides to pick from, the mini boat ride in Mexico and the Maelstrom, a more log flumey ride. Of course I’ll pick the Maelstrom!

It's not only a wonderful memory of when I was a child riding the ride and being excited to see the trolls, it also makes me think of my roommate from my Summer Alumni in 2010. The Maelstrom was most definitely her favorite ride, but Norway looks pretty so why not enjoy the ride while visiting that country in EPCOT right?? ;)

Anyways, you have my answer & my photo. Enjoy.

Thursday, February 10, 2011

Day 9: Favorite attraction in Futureworld

I have a short & sweet answer to this...

Soarin’ Over California. Definitely. It’s adventurous, beautiful, & something unlike everything else. I love it! ♥

♪ Coming Home ♪

This is long and I apologize, but I promise this is good stuff

This is seriously this year is the best year yet!

Here are my reasons...

1) I got an amazing internship at a local hospital only 4 weeks after I graduated college. I really lucked out since the economy is pretty shitty & finding jobs that actually are similar to your wants & needs are VERY hard to find. It's a half hour commute, not what I wanted to do, but it's really not that bad; it's right off the interstate.
In this position I am the Marketing Intern (I started January 10th) and will be the intern until late April/early May. This is because by that time my boss (who has the only Marketing job, as the Marketing Coordinator for the whole hospital) will be going on Maternity Leave. At that point I will no longer be the marketing intern, I will become the Marketing Coordinator Interim. This means that I will be in charge of all of the marketing, PR, media relations, some graphic design, print/online/radio/outdoor/& television media & production, budgeting/bills, and much, much more. This is such an amazing opportunity & huge job to take on with only taking 2 marketing classes my whole life, but having such a passion for it.
I will be in this position until late July/early August and will stay a little bit later to get her back into the loop of things and then my work there will be done. There has been many times already of creating a salaried position for me. I'm just only in my 5th week. I guess I did something right! haha I recognize that I really lucked out and I am so very grateful. I've already learned a lot and feel more confident in my skills. =)

2) This isn't as exciting as #1, but I finally got my Bachelors Degree!!!!! I'm SO proud! I graduated in December, but it just came in the mail last week. It is now official to me that I am a college graduate of a 4 year private institution ranked as one of the top 50 schools in the nation for public, private, college, and university schools. (Yea I had to brag about that hehehe) I really wish I worked harder because if I didn't procrastinate or was so involved on campus, I'm positive that I would have ended up with a 3.2-3.5, but I can't take back time. A 3.0 isn't bad though. It's a solid B, which is still above average. I'm still proud that I graduated and graduated with a 3.something hahaha

3) So last semester I thought I lost my camera by forgetting it somewhere, but I've thought about it a lot, the only way it could have disappeared is if someone had stolen it, which honestly wouldn't surprise me at all with Wesleyan. This really disappoints me because I bought it my sophomore year of college with money that I saved up specifically for a camera. It was pretty nice and compact all for $250 ::gulps:: I wish I knew what kind it was haha I loved it though. BUT the good news is, is that I bought a new camera and got it in the mail yesterday. I am SO VERY HAPPY! It's a good camera, $190, 12mpx, 18x zoom, not too shabby. It's not the one that I reallllly wanted with 14 mpx and 30x zoom, but that one was about $120-$160 more than the one I just bought. When I'm older and have a steady paying job I'll buy myself the camera of my dreams. I think this one will do though. It will meet my needs with my passion & love for the art of photography & just portraits/candids at social gatherings. =)

4) Last night I joined the local HealthPlex. It's about 2 exits south on the interstate of where I work so it's not that bad. I am very happy I did this. I did the $99 one that means I have a 6 week trial membership and 1 free 60 minute personal training session. Usually the initiation fee (to join) is $154 and then $57 monthly and PT is I think an additional $40? Who knows. Well anyways, it would only cost me $77 to join since I work at the hospital that owns the HealthPlex, but it wouldn't get me the PT hour & if I choose to join, which I will. Plus, I wont have to pay that extra $77 initiation fee so I'm really saving myself some dough =) I am SUPER EXCITED to get my body in a healthy state, strengthen my core to help my back, & to be hot again hahaha!

Lastly, #5...

I am such a happy girl! I was super nervous, but got in 18 days after my phone interview. =) So as you saw in the above photo, I am doing the fall program as a FSF&B (Full Service Food & Beverage) Cast Member. I am SO Stoked! That was my #1 pick, but I'm still going to audition for Entertainment. You never know what could happen, plus it would be cool to say "I auditioned for Disney entertainment" =) hehe I'm really excited that I'm doing a different role this time. Spring of '09 I did Attractions, Summer Alumni '10 I did Merchandise, and now this is a new one. I'm ready for the challenges!! =) Whoo!

The song that fits perfectly for this recent event is Diddy's "Coming Home" song.....

"I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the World I’m coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the World that I’m coming

Back where I belong, yeah I never felt so strong
(I’m back baby)
I feel like there’s nothing that I can’t try
And if you with me put your hands high
(put your hands high)
If you ever lost a light before, this ones for you
And you, the dreams are for you"

I am SO happy to go back home. Now I just have to talk to my boss about when I can leave so I can go back home. I full intend to stay there as long as I can. I'm hoping to apply for a PI next spring get accepted for Wedding &/or Events and get my own apartment & live happily ever after hehehe. I hope it all works out! =)

So enough Rambling. Thanks for listening & I hope I did bore you all too much!

Song: Coming Home - Diddy

Day 8: Favorite land in Epcot.

World Showcase. No doubt in my mind. EPCOT is one of my least favorite parks (tied with Animal Kingdom), but I absolutely LOVE the World Showcase.

I have always been fascinated with other cultures, I love food, and I loooovvvveee accents, so it’s just natural for me to love World Showcase. It's fun to say that I've been to 11 countries in just one day hehehe

My favorite time to be there is at sunset with a delicious drink in hand. Oh! And having the option to drink around the world at Disney definitely a plus! =)

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Day 7: Favorite Attraction in Adventureland

Pirates of the Caribbean is a classic, but it’s really quite boring. I love it because of my childhood memories & such, but I think the Jungle Cruise (another classic) will have to be my favorite in Adventureland.

I’ve only been on it a few times, but I enjoy the cheesy jokes that are used over & over again that still crack me up. Even with the same jokes, EVERY cruise is different, which makes it fun. Plus, I know a couple skippers so it makes it a little more special. These reasons are why I’m picking the Jungle Cruise.

*Till Death Do Us Part*

So today during my orientation at the hospital I got to visit the morgue. It was so weird! I got to see the table that has the drain where the head lies and the coolers where the bodies chill... literally. LOL It was a little spooky because I'm obsessed with CSI, NCIS, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, which happen show a lot of realistic autopsies. I definitely pictured (in my very vivid mind) a dead body opened up on that table even though there wasn't. Ha! I'm so weird.

Anyways... Enough of death, now to the "do us part" section. My wedding & event planning & design HW is tough! I LOVE it, Thoroughly enjoy it, I just wish I had more time to put into it. I don't know how people work full time, do night school, & are parents. Blah! Kudos to them! I'm glad I have my BA done & will have certifications out of the way by 2012 before I get to the kids part of my life... I'm thinking another 7-10 years haha But I'm really excited to get to the point where I'll actually be certified to make magic on people's "Happiest day of their life." It will truly make me happy. =) & I would make me even happier to make that magic at the "Happiest Place On Earth" ... Disney World! <3

Speaking of happy... I'm 99% sure that I'm joining a local HealthPlex/Gym that I will go to after work ever MWF. I get half off since I'm an employee with the hospital and the hospital owns the HealthPlex. I'm really excited. I'm SOOOO out of shape & a lot heavier than I was in high school so I know I'll be happier once I get healthy again & get hott again (hahaha) I really am doing this so I can be healthy though. I want to strengthen my core so I can prevent any more damage to my already messed up back (see picture below)

Yea, the minor scoliosis & the bulging discs, yes that is plural, in my lumbar are such a pain, literally. I really want to make my muscles stronger in my back and abdomen to protect & prevent anything else from happening. I also want to get into really good shape so I can run in the Princess Half Marathon next spring. I just need to get my body into a physical habit so when I do move back to FL I will continue at the the gym facilities at the apartment complex I'll be living in. I am SUPER Pumped! =)

Okay I think I've rambled enough, but this is "RJ's Rambles" haha So I went through the morgue, certifications, & the HealthPlex... Oh Yes! I am SUPER excited to go down to Wesleyan this weekend to cheer on my Zeta sisters when they get our newest baby Zetas & Jump... My favorite college holiday. It'll be fun to pretend to be a college kid again hehe & by then I'll have my bad ass camera to take awesome pictures with... I just hope it's as bad ass as it seems haha!!

NOW I'm done. Thanks for listening...

All my love,

Day 6: Favorite Attraction in Frontierland

SPLASH MOUNTAIN!! This is tied with Mickey’s Philarmagic as my favorite in the park in general because they are so different. I LOVE Splash Mountain because it has the thrill & happy-go-lucky Disney atmosphere in one. I love the feeling in my stomach every time we go down those hills. You’ll find me with my arms up for each drop, big or small haha.

“Everybody’s got a laughing place…” Heck yes we do & mine is definitely at Splash Mountain.

Sunday, February 6, 2011

Day 5: Favorite Attraction in Liberty Square

This is a no brainer… HAUNTED MANSION! As a kid I thought this attraction was super annoying cause it wasn’t scary or interesting to me at all, but at the point in my life I wanted to rebel against anything my dad liked and this is his favorite ride sooo…. LOL

I definitely adore this attraction though! It’s cheesy, but it’s a classic & I love it! I love the huge dining room area & seeing the hidden Mickey on the table, the hitchhiking ghosts, & of course seeing Walt Disney as the face on the broken statute singing in the graveyard. Those things make me smile, but the attic with the bride scares the crap out of me. It’s spooky & every time when I’m on the ride & stops, it always seems to stop right next to her hahaha.

Now don't close your eyes,
And don't try to hide.
Or a silly spook may sit by your side.
Shrouded in a daft disguise,
They pretend to terrorize.
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize.”

*Black & Yellow? More like Purple & Gold*

So the super bowl is tomorrow whoo hoo (that was sarcasm btw) The only reason why I'd watch it is for A) the commercials B) the Glee episode right after & C) I'll have no choice. My dad only set up one comcast/xfinity cable box out of the 3 TV's in the house. He's too lazy to set up the others hahaha So anyways, I'm suppose to root for the Steelers, but they annoy me & they beat my Jets so screw them. haha & I know nothing about the Green Bay Packers so I decided that I'm not gonna root for anyone. I'm not really a fan of NFL anyways, I'm a college ball girl. So no Black & Yellow for me.

Now Purple & Gold, is more of what I'm looking for... Those two are not only my favorite colors in the entire world, they're the main colors for the Disney College Program. Today makes it day 14 (8:30pm is exactly 2 weeks) since my phone interview. haha! I'm super anxious and I was hoping to hear a response this past week, but my interviewer said 3-4 weeks, but a lot of people already heard after just a week from their interview. I interviewed 2 days after the interviews were being scheduled so I was hopeful for an early response. Maybe monday or by the end of this coming week? ::crosses fingers::

Anyways, I did get some good news today, which was much needed after a full day of a nasty migraine. ha! I found out that my bad ass camera, which I hope is as bad ass as it seems, will be delivered on Tuesday. YAY!!!! I'm liking that sound of that! So lets hope that the good news keeps rolling in and I'll hear from Disney next week. And not just any new, I'd really like to hear good news.

Alright, I really should stop being on social media & do my homework. I'll be back tomorrow. XoXo!

☮ & ♥

Day 4: Favorite attraction in Fantasyland

This is my favorite attraction in the whole park (tied with Splash Mountain). I tear up basically every time I’m at this attraction. The sights, sounds, & smells remind me so much of my childhood more than anything else. It is truly magical!

♪ Photographs and Memories♪

Since my camera was stolen last semester (Yes I have finally come to that conclusion) I decided to finally get a new one. My heart is completely broken that it was stolen since I LOVED my camera. It was kind of a POS because it got used & abused, but it was nicer than most. I bought it with my own saved up money early in college before I had a job & what not for $250. It was a nice camera at the time.

I absolutely LOVE taking pictures. The memories are everlasting, but the pictures remind you of the little details you may have forgotten.
Freshman year, one of my sorority sisters who was a senior at the time, called me "Flash" because I took pictures ALL THE TIME. I have a million albums on Facebook & even went to photography camp at one point in my life and my final paper for my art class was on the art of photography. To get to the point, I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY.

I was looking at purchasing a camera that was worth around $350, my affordable dream camera. (Olympus SP-800UZ ... 14mpx, 30x zoom) I found it with a bunch of accessories for $309 on Ebay, so of course I was super tempted, but I decided not to spend $309 because that could go towards a wireless router for my future apartment. I wasn't giving up on getting a camera though.

I finally decided to buy a another camera, which is just about the same quality as the Olympus, it's the Fujifilm S1800. 12mpx, 18x zoom. I am pumped! I got this with a camera case, 16gb sd card, a mini tripod, lens cleaner, & an extra battery for only $190. I think that's much more affordable than the $309 and it's still a good quality, not like the Olympus, but one day, when I have the money, I'll get myself my dream camera, but for now it's a basic, but nice camera.

Feel free to check it out. I can't wait till it comes in! Should come in the next 8-10 days!!! =D

Day 2: Favorite Land in Magic Kingdom

This is a toughie. I’ve never thought about what my favorite land was because I love them all, but I think I’m gonna have to pick Main Street U.S.A. You have this old-fashioned small town atmosphere that screams magic & then there’s the castle on the other end of it. All of the parades make their way down Main Street U.S.A. one way or another, the Emporium and the other million stores have tons of merchandise you can’t always find else where and the bakery even has cookie scent coming out of a vent so the guests can smell it from across the town. Now if all of this doesn’t say magical, I don’t know what does. LOL

Day 1: Favorite Walt Disney World Park

I would most definitely have to say Hollywood Studios. When I was a kid I was so hardcore about the “movie star” life. Whenever I would walk through the entrance of MGM studios (that’s what it was at the time) I would smile SO BIG no matter where I was in the park because it was "my park".

Now that I’m older & actually worked at Hollywood Studios, I have an even more special place for this park in my heart. The atmosphere of this park is something I absolutely love. It was especially amazing at night when you just get off work and you're walking down Sunset Boulevard with no one in the park, the big band music is playing loudly on the speakers and the buildings are still lit from when the guests were in the park... The warm evening just tops it all off... ::sigh:: that was the life. So yes, Hollywood Studios is my favorite park for many, many reasons.
